Automatic Power Control: Epic Pro cuts four times faster1 than a classic diode laser with
minimal collateral damage. In this treatment mode, the laser in continuous wave mode converts light energy to thermal power at the tip. Laser energy is adjusted automatically in real time to maintain constant tip temperature. The result is extremely consistent and reliable cutting conditions, regardless of speed of movement, tissue type, etc.

Biolase Epic Pro Dental Soft Tissue Laser
The Epic Pro, which offers the most laser power of any diode laser in dentistry, is the first
product to be introduced resulting from BIOLASE’s strategic development agreement
with IPG Medical. The newest addition to the Epic family of dental soft-tissue lasers, Epic
Pro features several new innovations that are industry-firsts:
A new super pulse technology for more precise, enhanced laser tissue cutting
Real-time automatic power control to enhance speed and consistency when performing surgery with pre-programed tip temperature
Pre-initiated, bendable, disposable tips with new smart tip technology to ensure tip performance and quality
The result is extremely consistent and reliable cutting conditions, regardless of speed of movement, tissue type, etc.Super Thermal Pulse: Epic Pro can achieve ten times the peak power of a standard diode (and up to three times that of the closest competitor) laser in short micro-pulses for the highest cutting efficiency and safety. In this treatment mode, the laser converts light energy to thermal power, which it emits as thermal power pulses, (i.e. multiple bursts of high power). Each of these thermal bursts cuts tissue highly efficiently. When the laser is activated, power bursts are emitted with a preset pulse width (duration), while maintaining a precise thermal level at the tip. The laser is powered on only about 3-5% of the time, giving tissue ample time to relax between pulses; creating a safer and gentler experience for patients.
Introducing the first advanced-grade diode laser in dentistry that offers more power and innovation than any diode on the market. Epic Pro monitors and measures the temperature of the laser tip for predictable, consistent results with every use.
The Only Laser with Automatic Power ControlEpic Pro is the ONLY FDA-cleared laser with Automatic Power Control, an exclusive innovation from BIOLASE that enables the operator to lase with confidence and speed.
Enhanced Clinical ApplicationsEpic Pro is the professional’s choice for managing soft tissue cases. With over 20 clinical presets, multiple treatment modes, and an advanced mode for expert users, Epic Pro provides unparalleled consistency and predictability. Unlike traditional diodes, Epic Pro moves quickly and with little snag-and-drag resistance.
Greater Precision and ComfortEpic Pro brings more precision and comfort than traditional diodes due to innovations such as Super Thermal Pulse mode, which can pulse energy as quickly as ten-millionths of a second, resulting in efficient clinical cutting with less thermal damage than normal diode lasers.
Introducing Smart Tip TechnologyEpic Pro uses durable new tip technology, available in uninitiated and pre-initiated formats depending on your clinical needs. Epic Pro tips work hand in hand with the laser’s Smart Tip technology to prompt you when a fresh tip is needed.
With Epic Pro, ‘You Have to See It to Believe It’If you are a current diode laser or CO2 laser user, you have to see Epic Pro cut tissue live and compare to your current laser experience. When current Epic Pro customers were first shown Epic Pro, their response? “You have to see it cut to understand how much faster it is.” Fill out the contact form on this page to request a live demonstration for Epic Pro in your clinic.Technical Specifications Biolase Epic Pro Dental Soft Tissue Laser

Sirona Apollo DI Intra Oral Scanner
APOLLO DI:
The Sirona Apollo DI Intra Oral Scanner features easy handling, precise imaging, and the proven Sirona Connect workflow. The impression system includes an imaging unit, APOLLO Connect software, and the APOLLO DI intraoral
camera, with which users can make digital impressions of the clinical situation in a seamless workflow. To do this, a moisture-insensitive high-contrast spray is sprayed on the teeth very finely. Fine particles in the spray ensure high contrast and thus very precise images. The most cost-effective start to digital impression-taking.
APOLLO DI
APOLLO DI, the specially developed intraoral scanner for cost-efficient digital impressions.
Easy handling thanks to multitouch control
Small and lightweight camera
Export of scan-data in the laboratory

OPEN APOLLO DI*:
Export of digital impression data (captured with the APOLLO DI in the practice and received via the Sirona Connect Portal) in an open ST L format for processing in other CAD/CAM systems.Designed to provide an economical entry point into CAD/CAM dentistry, Sirona’s APOLLO DI digital impression system includes an imaging unit, APOLLO Connect software and the APOLLO DI intraoral camera. The system provides precise imaging with the use of a contrast spray, and digital impression data can be sent to dental labs via the Sirona Connect system where it can be turned into a digital restoration design in Sirona’s inLab software or compatible 3rd party software applications, according to a press release. The new APOLLO DI is a complement to the company’s existing CEREC Bluecam and CEREC Omnicam options which each use a different imaging technology, but send the digital impressions through the same workflow. APOLLO DI is designed for practices looking to take digital impressions but continue to work with a lab, while the Bluecam and Onmicam can each be purchased as stand-alone digital impression systems, or with a mill for complete chairside CAD/CAM dentistry.

Its ergonomic design comes with safe docking station. It has thin fiber optic cable which enables quick data transfer from the wand to the cart. This optimized cable length assists various cart positions in the operatory.Orthodontic treatment is more than just straightening teeth; it’s about ensuring your teeth and jaws are in alignment. To achieve this, we need to get an accurate look at where your teeth are positioned. To do this, we use the iTero Intraoral digital scanner.A good impressionIn the orthodontic and dental industries, ‘impressions’ is the term we use for getting a good picture of where your teeth currently sit. These impressions were previously taken using a type of dental cement. Pasted on your teeth, patients were required to lie for a few minutes while the cement-like material set. The dental professional could then remove the set material which had formed an ‘impression’ of your teeth. This process was messy, rather unpleasant and not very comfortable. Fortunately, that method is a thing of the past. These days, we use scanning technology and at L&L Orthodontics, our technology of choice is the iTero Intraoral digital scanner.
What is the iTero scanner?
The iTero scanner is new 3D orthodontic scanning technology. Using the latest developments in intraoral scanning, the iTero scanner accurately scans your teeth as part of your orthodontic assessment. The iTero scanner is made up of a small, wand-like device which is used to scan your teeth and jaws. The data it is collecting then appears on the computer screen, allowing you to see the ‘impressions’ the scanner is taking. The iTero scanner works in with Invisalign®* treatment and lets you see what your teeth will look like post-treatment, even before you’ve started. Before we recommend a course of treatment for you, we’ll take impressions of your teeth using the iTero scanner to ensure we are making our recommendation on accurate information. To find out more about the iTero scanner and other orthodontic technology we use here at L&L Orthodontics, book your specialist consultation today.
