A small, disposable metal probe is gently inserted into the hair follicle (without puncturing the skin) until it reaches the base of the hair root. A tiny electrical impulse is delivered through the probe by a sensitive electronic device, which destroys the hair root. Depending on the technique used, the electric current destroys the hair root either by heat or chemical action.Here is a brief outline of the different methods that the Apilus Cleo Blend offers to provide pain free, effective, permanent hair removal:ELECTROLYSIS – (Galvanic) Our body is made up of salt and water. The combination of salt water and direct current creates sodium hydroxide. This chemical reaction destroys the hair’s regenerative cells within the hair follicle.THERMOLYSIS – (High Frequency also known as Short Wave Diathermy) This method applies a split second impulse of alternating current at the base of the hair root. This creates heat which destroys the regenerative cells.
