Visualization at the speed of CIRRUS

Analyzing a single pathology from multiple views provides comprehensive insight and analysis of the clinical situation. How this helps you:

  • Spot small areas of pathology. Tightly spaced B-scans, (either 30 or 47 μm apart), in the cube ensure that small areas of pathology are imaged. For reference, a human hair is about 40-120 μm in diameter.
  • Visualize the fovea. Scans that are spaced further apart than in the CIRRUS cube may miss the central fovea.
  • Fuel for analysis. Millions of data points from the cube are fed into the Zeiss proprietary algorithms for accurate segmentation, reproducible measurements and registration for change analysis.
  • Take the pressure off the operator. As long as the scan is placed in the vicinity of the fovea or optic nerve, the software automatically centers the measurements after the capture.
  • See the tissue from different perspectives. View the cube data from all angles, with 3D rendering, OCT fundus images and Advanced Visualization™.
  • Future ready. Previously captured CIRRUS cubes can be analyzed using new analyses.

Measurement centering with FoveaFinder and AutoCenter

On the macula, the unique FoveaFinder technology ensures the ETDRS and ganglion cell plus inner plexiform layer measurement frameworks are centered on the fovea.

AutoCenter™ function automatically centers the 3.4 mm diameter peripapillary RNFL calculation circle around the disc for precise placement and repeatable registration. The placement of the circle is not operator dependent. Accuracy, registration and reproducibility are assured.

Guided Progression Analysis (GPA™) for Assessing RNFL and Optic Disc Change

GPA™ compares RNFL thickness and optic disc measurements over time and determines if statistically significant change has occurred.

Focal Progression Analysis – Up to 6 progression maps are compared to two baselines. Areas of statistically significant change are color-coded yellow when first noted and then red when the change is sustained over consecutive visits.
Trend Analysis with Rate of Change – RNFL thickness values are plotted over time. Trends are calculated and confidence intervals are shaded when rate of change is statistically significant.

According to retina and vitreoretinal physician and surgeon Gregg T. Kokame, MD, of Retina Consultants of Hawaii, the new ZEISS CIRRUS 6000 is extremely fast and impressive. “With the new scan acquisition time of 100,000 per second I can scan and assess my patients much quicker, giving me the details I need with every image,” says Kokame.“ZEISS is dedicated to advancing eye care through development of new and innovative solutions, like the CIRRUS 6000,” said Dr. Ludwin Monz, President and CEO of Carl Zeiss Meditec AG. “With our comprehensive diagnostics portfolio, we will continue to create better vision standards to benefit patients today and in the future.”

Bison Dual ACCENTO Nd YAG Laser

Bison Dual ACCENTOBison Dual ACCENTO is the unique device combination with Alexandrite laser (755nm) and Nd:YAG laser (1064nm Long pulse) The combination of two different wavelengths makes DUAL ACCENTO a highly effective system for hair removal and pigmented lesions treatment. The 755nm penetrates deep into the skin and perfectly targets hair the follicle and absorbs melanin. The Dual Accento combined laser system is indicated for the following: 755 nm Long Pulsed Alexandrite Laser Temporary hair reduction. Stable long-term or permanent reduction through targeting of melanin in hair follicles. Treatment of bening pigmented lesions. Treatment of Wrinkles. The photocoagulation of dermatological vascular lesions (such as port of wine stains, hemangiomas, telangiectasis) 1064nm Long pulsed Nd:YAG laser. The removal of un-wanted hair reduction, for stable long term or permanent hair reduction and for treatment of PFB to all skin types Fitzpatrick I-VI including tanned skin.Pigmented lesions to reduce lesion size and patients with lesions. Reduction of red pigmentation in hypertrophic and keloid scars where vascularity is integral part of scar, treatment of wrinkle. Permanent hair reduction is defined as the long term, stable reduction in the number of hairs re- growing when measured at 6,9, and 12 months after the completion of treatment regime. The Dual Accento performs with high efficacy of the pigmentation problems without damaging tissue structures adjacent to the pigment. The wavelength of 1064nm Nd: YAG long pulse rejuvenates the skin by stimulating the collagen layer of the dermis and effectively treats vascular lesions and is appropriate for all skin types when used for hair removal.Bison Dual ACCENTO 1064nm NdYAG Laser With 755nm Alexandrite Laser Bison Dual ACCENTO 1064nm NdYAG Laser with 755nm Alexandrite Laser is the unique device. Combining 755nm Long pulsed Alexandrite and 1064nm Long pulsed NdYAG Alexandrite 755nm long pulsed wavelength. Due to the high melanin absorption is effective for hair removal and pigmented lesions treatment. NdYAG 1064nm long pulsed wavelength rejuvenates skin by stimulating the dermis layer, effectively treating vascular lesions.

  1. Irregularity helps determine the best strategy for vision correction. Separation into Total, Corneal and Internal components allows determination of the source of the optical pathology.
  2. PSF images of OPD, Axial, and Internal OPD map simulate objective retinal visual quality from each component of the eye for easy clinical assessment and patient education.
  3. Corneal Spherical Aberration aids in the selection of aspheric IOLs and contact lenses.
  4. Color coded Classification Indices help identify post-LASIK corneas and Keratoconus.
  5. The Astigmatism index aids the implantation of toric IOLs such as incision placement and lens alignment.
  6. A retroillumination image of cataracts captured during the OPD exam allows better understanding of pupillary effects on vision and in patient education.
