The Zerona Laser Can Non-Invasively Reduce Upper Arm CircumferenceThe Zerona laser showed significant effectiveness in treating upper arms in a recent 40 subject, double-blind, randomized sham controlled clinical study. Subjects in the study were strictly screened to only include males and females aged 18 to 65 who were willing to maintain a regular diet and exercise during the time of the study. The study excluded all patients with any confounding medical, surgical, or other problems.All subjects were treated with a total of six, painless 20-minute treatments with either the Zerona 635 nm low-level laser or a sham laser device over a 2 week period. Upon completion of the treatments and at two weeks post-treatment, the active treatment group showed approximately a 4 cm combined reduction in the bilateral circumference and the sham treatment group showed essentially no change. Additionally, in the active treatment group 60 percent of the subjects met the success criteria and experienced a combined arm circumference reduction of 1.25 cm or greater compared with 0 percent of the patients treated with a sham laser. All of the results were highly statistically significant.
